I just got the Nikon Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S II lens recently. I’ve heard some folks say certain batches have an axial tilt issue. Has anyone here run into this problem

I don't have this lens - but of note - I usually reference byThom's site, Nasim Mansurov's Photography Life, and Nikonians for a more focused discussion of any issues related to pending or actual purchases of lenses - a quick perusal of these sites yields no information on this mentioned aspect (at least none that I can see).

The lens itself appears quite excellent (on paper) . . . have you performed any tests observing any focal fall-off or other deficits with your specific lens. Not to sound stupidly obvious [but some peeps in the forum may benefit from] - please don't forget to promptly register the warranty for the lens to cover any future issues which may arise.

Nikon has been sorta historically slow in responding to 'problems' until the static becomes so obvious there's no other recourse . . . but best wishes with your choice . . . this is a supposedly stellar workhorse lens . . .
