trash threads-complaint

I could be incorrect - but think the trash bin exists within its own silo (so to speak) - one can mirror or repost a new link but must request a Moderator to move the item to the appropriate section [as there is no subsections within the trash area - just a massive repository of mixed titles meeting the criteria for placement]. I thought I also read it's okay to simply repost a fresh post too for a trashed item . . .
