I'd like to see what the general consensus is when picking a CRM for your business.

What do you like and don't like about the system you're using.
Also, is it covering all the steps in the sales/post-production/payment steps of the event's life?

    Thanks all

Does no one use a CRM for their business?

Using trello keeping it simple with a extension called Crmbl to track leads

A lot of people use Sprout Studio, it can pretty much do anything you need. Some use Dubsado, but it's more of a general-purpose CRM.

Sprout let's you do everything but it's like $45 a month if you pay a year in full. However, it will handle just about ANYTHING you could need. Sales, invoicing, scheduling, in-person IPS, etc.

Thank you for mentioning trello, I didn't knew about it and it seems that it will change the way I work.

Sorry it's taken me a while to reply.

Anything aye? Would I be able to:
1- Assign different shooters to different events and will the CRM send them notifications and block out their calendars?
2- Schedule automatic notifications to clients when any products are ready for pickup?
3- Can it do internal financials such as every shooter and how much they charge. Cost for specifics that went into each event's labor and items?
4- Complete project lifecycle tracking for video and photography and being able to set specific milestones. Then assigning the next task to the next relevant department for example. Shooters>photoproofing (clients)>editors>album manufacturers>admin etc...

That's a few things I can think about for the time being.
There was a time about 5 years ago when I delved into the research of choosing a CRM to move away from my google sheets but I couldn't find a CRM that ticked many more boxes that google sheets didn't already do. Especially when it came to justifying the price...

On the other hand, I was hoping for a locally hosted solution with the ability to make it externally accessible

    lol

I don't work for them or anything. Why don't you just go to the site and ask about your needs?

Tave would be the only other option I know that's pretty robust.

Lol I know. I didn't mean it like that.
I jumped onto their site, seems pretty vague what you can do but from what I could gather, it looks like I'd have to be on the biggest plan at least if not bigger lol

Would love to know if you come across anything. These are great ideas on what I should track as well.
